The Effectiveness of John Zahorek’s Model in Developing Reflective Thinking Skills in Physics for Tenth Grade Students

  • The current research seeks to identify the effectiveness of the John Zahorik model in developing the reflective thinking of tenth grade students in physics. The research sample consisted of (56) students of the tenth grade students of the Scientific School (Ahmadi Khani)for the academic year (2020-2021), consisting of five divisions two divisions were randomly selected to be the research sample, (one represented the experimental group of (24) students that were taught by John Zahorek's Model and the other the control group of (25) students that were taught in the usual way, Thus, the total number of research (49) students with the exclusion of repeaters, and the two groups were rewarded in variables including (IQ, chronological age, academic achievement, tribal test of reflective thinking skills, academic achievement of parents). After the researcher completed the procedures of the experiment, the data were processed statistically and the results showed a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average test scores (tribal) for the control and experimental group and for the benefit of the experimental group in the development of the reflective thinking (as a whole), In light of the findings, the researcher came up with a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
