The college of Engineering and Computer Science/Department of Information Technology held an national workshop entitled ” Firebase: A Platform for your Web and Mobile Application” on Sunday, November 7th, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The presenter, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Sardar Ali, gave a brief introduction to Google Firebase, which is a Google-backed application development software that allows developers to create iOS, Android, and Web apps using its 18 services. This BaaS solution’s 18 services also include four beta products and purposeful APIs. There were 16 trainees in attendance, most of them were faculty members of College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Workshop Outcomes:
Firebase provides analytics tracking, reporting, and app issue fixes, as well as marketing and product experimentation capabilities. Alibaba Travels, Stack, Twitch, and Instacart are among the IT and commerce heavyweights that use Firebase’s cloud and BaaS services.

Presenter Information:
Mohammed Sardar Ali is an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Lebanese – French University (Kurdistan region, Iraq). He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kurdistan Hawler (Kurdistan region, Iraq). A Bachelor of Science from Tishk International University, in Computer Engineering. Before joining LFU, Mohammed has worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Engineering, Bayan University from 2019 to 2020.
