The Department of Accounting and Finance had conducted the International workshop on 20th May 2021, entitled “Foreign Direct Investment, Economic Growth in the Middle East”.
Mr. Farhad AL-Kaky, lecturer from Accounting and Finance Department, College of Administration and Economics, Lebanese French University, started the session with his mind-blowing presentation on the historical background and researches on the FDI in the Middle East and Kurdistan Region. He also welcomed the guest speakers and introduced them. Dr. Faisal from Institute of Business Studies and Leadership, Faculty of Business and Economics, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan Khyber Pakhtunkha, Pakistan enlightened the session with the outstanding comparison of FDI between the Kurdistan Region and the Middle East. The last speaker, Dr. Dlawar Mahdi Hadi from Komar University of Science and Technology, Sarchinar, Sulaymania, Iraq had wind up the session with his mind-blowing presentation on the future endeavors of developing FDI in our region.
Mr. Rahim, the Head of the Accounting and Finance department in Lebanese French University warmly welcomed all the participants and delivered the vote of thanks as a token of appreciation for making the academic workshop successful.
The Heads of the departments, faculty members from the college, and other colleges of the university and faculty members from various universities from different countries have participated the knowledge sharing sessions effectively. There were more than 77 participants from the nook and cranny of the globe.
